Circus Performers & Acrobats for Hire in Kansas City

An experience your guests won't stop talking about

Aerial and acrobatic performers for corporate events, galas, weddings, and festivals. Voler: Thieves of Flight has been Kansas City’s hometown aerial troupe since 2007.

Watch our aerial performance reel

A few minutes of the acts, so you know exactly what you’re booking before you reach out.

You tell us your theme. We become it.

Most troupes arrive as themselves. They bring the same costumes and the same show no matter who booked them.

We start with your event instead. Tell us the theme, the colors, and the feeling you want in the room, and we’ll build the costumes and the acts around it.

We can also come down from the ceiling. If you want the performers among your guests and not only above them, they’ll work the room in full costume and get people onto the dance floor. If you’d rather keep the whole act overhead, that’s an easy call to make, too.

Kansas City venues we've performed for

We’ve performed for Union Station, Science City, Starlight Theatre, Sporting KC, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the Kansas City Art Institute, ArtsKC, Chase, Ameristar Hotel and Casino, and the City of Lee’s Summit. We’ve anchored the Lawrence Busker Festival year after year.

What audiences say about our performances

They perform every year at the Lawrence KS Busker Festival and always draw a large crowd for a good reason. They are something to behold. They make it look so easy but you know it’s not.
From the first phone call to the final performance, dealing with Rachel at Voler has always been a professional and rewarding experience. I can always count on her delivering the best.
Voler has been an annual partner of the InterUrban ArtHouse for years now. They’re professional, easy to work with, self sufficient, and always make a dazzling centerpiece for our events. They’re versatile, can scale up or down, and are capable of both indoor and outdoor performances. Even though we have them back each year, every performance has been unique.

About Voler: Thieves of Flight, our Kansas City aerial troupe

Voler opened in 2007 as the first aerial studio in Kansas City, and the troupe grew out of it. Every performer on the roster came up through our own classes, so the people rigging above your guests trained in the same room we teach in. We’ve taken the act as far as Providence, San Francisco, Costa Rica, Nepal, and Bulgaria. A few alumni have gone on to Cirque du Soleil and The Wynn or opened studios of their own.

Aerial performer booking questions

It depends on the act and the venue. Some spaces have existing rigging points, some need hardware installed for the night, and some need us to bring a freestanding rig of our own. We review all of it with you before anything is booked, and we handle the setup ourselves.
Height decides which acts fit rather than whether we can perform at all. Low ceilings rule out the tallest drops and open the door to acts built closer to the ground, and when a space won’t take a rig at all, we bring one that stands on its own. Send us the venue and we’ll tell you what works in it.
Yes. We’ve anchored the Lawrence Busker Festival outdoors year after year. Outdoor events come down to the rigging surface and the weather plan, both of which we walk through with you ahead of time.

It depends on the season. Halloween through New Year’s is our busiest stretch, so reach out at least six months ahead for anything in that window. Outside the holidays, four to eight weeks is usually enough for a personal event, though lean toward eight if you have specific music or theme requests.

Yes. We regularly perform across the Kansas City metro and the Midwest, including Lawrence, Topeka, Chicago, Omaha, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City. We’ve performed across the country, from San Francisco to New Orleans to Providence, Rhode Island, and done international performances in Costa Rica, Nepal, and Bulgaria. Travel costs apply for any performance outside the Kansas City metro.

Every booking is priced to the event, because the number of performers, the acts, the rigging, and the run of show all move it. Tell us what you’re planning and we’ll put a proposal together.
Yes. We’ve performed aerial champagne pours and walkaround table service, and we’ve done harness work. Beyond that we bring in specialty performers for things like hand balancing and character work, so tell us the effect you’re after and we’ll build the act around it.
